Every now and again a human interest story will show up in the news: “Momma Hound Feeds Abandoned Baby Tiger” “Stray Raccoon Nursed to Health by Cat” “Wild Burro Cared for by Domestic Cows”. Okay, I made the last one up but the idea stands: It takes a different kind of love for various animal species to care for each other. Only the Creator could make-up the difference in animal relationships. A different kind of love, also provided by our Creator, makes the difference in human relationships as well. Christians are encouraged to love one another in 1 John 4:7-11, but that is often easier said than done isn’t it? In a world of distinct cultural differences, strong personal preferences and self-motivated directions, loving certain others is often… well, you know. Let’s not and just say we did, Eh?

In the Bible, there are many promises of GOD and there is no lack of warnings for judgment. Like it or not, there will come a day when each of us will answer for what we did with what the Master has given us; Including our emotions, temperaments and power to forgive. So the next time you choose to do something that will disrespect another, you refuse to forgive an offense or you walk past that person you “cannot stand”, be mindful of the GOD’s Own different kind of love. It  is the love that comes only from the One Who chose to suffer the Cross for you, me and everyone else. His way is perfect and without falsehoods. Please dear Christian, let your way be the same and share His long-suffering love.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
