“Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.” Proverbs 17:6  3D333EA2-33E3-4EB8-9DF3-659119C1CAE8

Grandparents are these boundlessly wise, incidental creatures with a particular role to play. The difficulty? Is knowing when and how to play it. As parents of adults, it is a must to tread ever so lightly on the loosely set tiles of humanity laid in the lives of  our children many moons ago. Why? Because it is the way of the universe.

Grandparents get into trouble when we overthink our responsibilities, believing our knowledge is to the benefit of those around us. When we see a need and fill it with our experienced perspectives, we tend to overflow our boundaries without recognizing the limitations of our particular roles. Why? Because the universe is now inside out.

Grandparents can be highly successful in impacting the bright shiny new stars before us; those amazing, fresh bundles of joy. How? By measuring all thoughts, spoken words and minor deeds carefully prior to releasing the same into the abyss. This is essential to keeping one’s head above tidal waters and one’s heart beyond utter destruction.  Though boundaries are not always visible, they are ever present. We must be vigilant to stay on our sides of the boundaries until we are welcomed across. Why? Well, all parents are new at some point, and you know how it is AND the universe does not want you to forget!

WHO KNEW you could love someone so tiny, so precious, so completely? Grandparents. Why? Because the universe once allowed Grandparents unlimited access many moons ago, when we were just ‘parents’.

Welcome to the universe Precious Amara Rose, Sunday June 9, 2019 7:50 p.m.              The Creator of this universe loves you more than you will ever be able to comprehend.  I am here to share of that love with you . Much love, Grandma D
